The goal of Making Proud Choices! is to empower adolescents to change their behavior in ways that will reduce their risk of an unplanned pregnancy or becoming infected with HIV and other STDs. Specifically, this curriculum emphasizes that adolescents can reduce their risk for STDs, HIV, and pregnancy by using a condom if they choose to have sex.

Making Proud Choices! is an adaptation and extension of the original Be Proud! Be Responsible! curriculum that integrates teen pregnancy prevention along with HIV/STD prevention. 

Mental Health Awareness Workshop

This workshop will discuss how mental health is part of our overall health! We want to spread this awareness and help the youth learn that self-love and self-care are a vital part of living a healthy, fulfilling life, and that experiencing mental health challenges during their lifetime is not uncommon and that it is okay to ask for help. 

LYS Awards & Induction Ceremony

This is a night of celebration for our members who have done tremendous work within the organization and the community! The Induction Ceremony is a celebration of the young men and women who have completed their candidacy period. As a part of this process, these young men and women have participated in mentoring sessions, monthly meetings, community service outreach opportunities, and individual volunteerism.
